Katie and Ryan had me laughing the entire session…as soon as they jumped out of the car my smile didn’t fade the entire three hours we spent together.  Katie even left her car door open through half the shoot, completely forgetting to close it because she was so excited.  We hit a few hot spots (literally, Charleston broke 105 degrees that day) including the Palmetto Islands County Park and Isle of Palms. These two treats are tying the knot at the high-falutin’ Biltmore Estate this New Years Eve.  I can’t wait!!!

Anna and Eric had no idea that when they picked their engagement session date of Feb. 12th that it would be the first significant snowstorm Charleston has seen in 20 years.  Lucky for me, Anna and Eric were up for braving the elements.  We called each other up the night before excited as five year old girls about the snow starting to fall outside and decided to start the session at sunrise…it was a good move because most of it was melted by the afternoon!   It was a privilege to spend the morning documenting their love and I can’t wait for their wedding this October.

As an early birthday present Taylor’s boyfriend, Andrew, gave her a photography lesson with me.  Taylor had no idea about the lesson and she was even more surprised by how it ended.  I had conspired with Andrew to have him come back at the end of the lesson to “model” with Taylor.  I am not sure how much she got out of the last part of the lesson since she was a bit distracted (and totally elated) by Andrew’s marriage proposal!

I met up with Renee and Cliff last weekend and had a blast photographing until the last of the sun had set away. I just adore these two.  It’s something in the way they smile. Genuine joy and contentment to be in the presence of each other.   Thank you both for hanging out with me for an afternoon!
